The Ocean City Hotel-Motel-Restaurant Association has launched a Winter Wellness promotion during the months of January and February in Ocean City, MD. The promotions encourages locals and visitors alike to reflect, refresh and relax by taking advantage of Ocean City’s natural elements and amenities.
Here’s some ways to introduce wellness during your stay in Ocean City:
• Ice Skating
Ice skate at the beach by visiting the Carousel Resort Hotel & Condominiums famous ice skating rink located inside the hotel’s atrium. The rink is currently closed until mid-February for annual maintenance, but following the closure it will be open daily. For more information visit our website at www.CarouselHotel.com.
• The Boardwalk
While most businesses are closed this time of year on the Boardwalk, there is still plenty to see during the winter months. Visit the stores and restaurants that are open, explore the OC Life-Saving Stating Museum or break free from the gym and take advantage of the atmosphere around you. The Ocean City Boardwalk measures 2.25 miles long. Run, bike or walk along the Boardwalk all hours of the day. Many prefer the boardwalk where there are sights to be seen from the beach to amusements.
• The Beach
Welcome serenity into your life by taking a blanket or chair to the beach, breath in the crisp salt-water air while looking out onto the Atlantic Ocean. A walk along the ocean is the perfect get away from your everyday busy life.
• Town of Ocean City Bicycle Trails
Designated bicycle lanes are marked from Sinepuxent Avenue to Jamaica Avenue uptown, which run along residential roadways in North Ocean City. Coming to the southern end of Jamaican Avenue, an intersection with a pedestrian crosswalk can take you across the highway to the ocean side streets of Assawoman Drive and Wight Street. Downtown ride along St. Louis Avenue that runs from the Somerset Street north to 17th Street, along the bayside residential area downtown.
• Public Parks
An oversight in Ocean City, MD., is the many hidden gems you can find in its public parks that offer everything from walking paths, exercise equipment, sports facilities, playgrounds and more. One of the largest parks in Ocean City is Northside Park located on 125th Street and the Bay.
