Movies on the Beach
Ocean City Recreation and Parks hosts Movies on the Beach three times a week every summer! At sundown on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, come with your family to enjoy a family-friendly movie on the beach! Mondays and Fridays are hosted on the 27th Street Beach; Wednesdays, the Carousel Hotel Beach on 118th Street. Please note movies will be canceled for inclement weather.
Ice Shows
As the only business in Ocean City with an ice rink, the Carousel Hotel on 118th Street hosts live ice shows throughout the summer! Every night at 6:30 pm (excluding Fridays), come to the indoor ice rink to enjoy a FREE show starring the ice skaters of the Next Ice Age troupe!
Amusement Parks
No vacation is complete without a visit to one of Ocean City’s fine amusement parks! Head down to the Boardwalk to have fun at Trimper’s Rides, with Ocean City’s only roller coaster and world-renown for the vintage carousel more than a century old. Jolly Roger Amusement Park, with a smaller branch of the park on the Boardwalk as well, has rides, games, high-octane Speedworld, and Splash Mountain water park on 30th Street! It’s fun for the whole family!
Watersports
Enjoy a sunny day speeding through the waves or sailing high above them! Jet skiing and parasailing are available for those itching for an adrenaline rush during their beach vacation.
Family Beach Olympics
Looking to participate in family-friendly competitions for great prizes on the beach? Family Beach Olympics occurs twice a week in Ocean City, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm! On Tuesdays, visit the 27th Street Beachfront and on Thursdays, come to the Carousel Hotel beach on 118th Street!
Drone Shows
For many years, Sundaes in the Park has delighted visitors with live music, build-your-own ice cream sundaes, and fireworks. This year, however, Sundaes in the Park introduced a new display in place of fireworks: a drone light show! Witness art in motion from the lawn of Northside Park on 125th Street!
Mini-Golf
No matter where you go in Ocean City, you’ll find a mini-golf course, inside or outside, with a theme that will catch your interest! From medieval to prehistoric and fantasy to underwater, you won’t find the same setup twice!
Fishing
Do you enjoy the relaxation of a boat rocking on the waves, waiting for that perfect bite? Are you looking to teach your children how to fish? There’s never a time when you couldn’t find a charter boat to take you out to fish on the ocean or the bay! Not interested in a charter? Fish right off the beach! Please note there are specific areas where this is permitted.
Assateague Island
Only 20 minutes from Ocean City is Assateague Island, best known for the beautiful wild horses living in the park and the picturesque scenery. There are activities for all outdoorsy types: enjoying the sun on the beach, camping in the park, kayaking in the creek, crabbing or fishing from the piers, and much, much more!
